For International Women’s History Month, we wanted to take the opportunity to recognize the innovative women at The Spearhead Group. For our Spearhead Family post this month, we are highlighting Lana Toler, the Marketing and Innovation Manager at The Spearhead Group. Based in Louisville, KY, at our Kentucky Flagship location within the office of our Spearhead Pioneer, Acuity Packaging & Logistics, Lana is the primary Innovation lead for Spearhead’s Bourbon Belt expansion. Lana is a creative and collaborative innovation manager who transforms ideas into consumer-driven experiences on a global scale. Lana shares more with us about joining The Spearhead Group and what inspires her to work on innovative projects.
Tell us about why and when you joined The Spearhead Group.
Lana: I joined Spearhead in May of 2019 as a contractor after having coffee with Robert in Louisville, Kentucky. Having previously worked with Robert in 2016 on a project at my former company, we had definitely made impressions on each other with our innovative and spirited conversations. I was so inspired to hear about the newly formed Spearhead Group and jumped at the opportunity to work with Heather and Robert.
Tell us a little more about your background and what excites/inspires you to work on innovative projects?
Lana: I am a highly motivated and creative thinker. I was fortunate to have spent almost 17 years of my career working in Innovation, Research and Development at Beam Suntory where I was able to travel and work on all kinds of spirit brands. My mind is continuously thinking about ‘what’s next’ or how can we borrow and build to grow in innovation. I thrive on collaboration and the development of new ideas and how to make them a reality!

Lana: I practice these values by acting like an owner. As I work and grow with my team, I am committed to be the best role model of OUR core values. I am committed to not only grow The Spearhead Group brand but also to grow my personal brand, which all stand for the same values. My goal is to lead by example and ensure that my co-workers, clients, and network know that I can be counted on to represent them.
